The General Terms and Conditions of Bound Studios are valid for all offers, products, orders, agreements and deliveries of Bound Studios.

When you use the website www.bound-studios.com and/or order an item, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Read this carefully before you place an order.

ONLINE ORDERS

The agreement is binding at the time you place an order. Bound Studios processes the order after the payment has been received. Until then, Bound studios is the owner of the products.

As soon as your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail that the payment has been accepted, an e-mail with the details of your order, and an email with your track and trace code.

IN-STORE PURCHASE

If you bought Bound Studios items in a store, the products are property of the relevant store.

In case you have a complaint within the warranty time we advise you to contact the relevant store. Proof of purchase is required to handle your complaint.

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If we haven't processed your order yet, you can cancel your order partly or your full order.


After we have packed and shipped your order, it won't be possible to cancel or redirect your order. You can then return it once received. Please check our Return Policy.

Please note that although the Websites have been carefully compiled, it is possible that our Website may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, and availability.

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

 

 

PAYMENT METHODS

You can choose from ten different secure payment methods: Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express), Google Pay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Ideal, PayPal or Klarna.

All product prices include VAT and exclude shipping costs.

Credit card details such as credit card number, expiration date, etc., are automatically transferred via an encrypted and secure system to the payment provider, full credit card details are not visible.

If you pay with Visa or MasterCard there is extra protection through special verification methods (Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code).

 

 

DELIVERY & SHIPPING COSTS

Orders will be shipped on workdays within 24 hours via DPD or DHL with track and trace.

Our deliveries outside the Netherlands will be shipped via PostNL with Track and Trace and to receive this shipment, a signature is required.

The shipping for Greece, Lithuania, Norway, Romania, Cyprus, Sweden & Switzerland is €15 due to high shipping rates. Express shipping is €30.

If you have accidentally entered the wrong delivery address, chose the wrong delivery option, or were not home when the courier service delivered the package – it is the customer's responsibility to reach out to the courier.

We always send your order as soon as possible after the order has been placed.. It is our goal for you to receive your order as quickly as possible. As soon as we ship out your order parcel, it is out of our hands and the post-service will be in charge. We will not be able to redirect your order.

Please note that the delivery times mentioned above are the expected delivery times. In case the order is not delivered within the expected period, it is not possible to submit a claim. We will always make every effort to ensure that your order arrives on time.

Any import taxes are for the customer's expense. 

 

 

GUARANTEE

After the order delivery Bound Studios gives a 2-year guarantee on the quality of the product. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the product, feel free to send us an email to info@bound-studios.com with pictures of the items.

The warranty applies exclusively to products manufactured by Bound Studios and purchased through authorized selling channels. 

  • Some examples of manufacturing defects which are covered under this warranty include:

- Porosity, surface pores, blemishes in the metal;

- Uneven settings;

- Chips, scratches, or nicks in stones given at the time of pick-up

- Broken item within 6 months of wearing

Bound Studios will propose a suitable alternative. We will decide if we will repair the item, replace the item or offer store credit.

If we repair or replace the item, it can take up to 14 business days.

In the case of a refund, the refund will take place within 10 working days after verification.

 

  • Some examples of common jewelry wear and tear that are not covered by our warranty:

- Lost items

- Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, oils, make-up, swimming pools, hot tubs or bathing.

- Rings that have been damaged or misshapen as a result of “hands-on” activities. This also includes cases where damage results in the loss of stones.

- Bent, caught, or worn out prongs allowing a stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage.

- Broken earring posts, chains, bracelet links or clasps after 6 months of wearing.

RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY

Our goal is to make sure you are happy with your purchase. For this reason, you have an approval period of 30 days after receiving your order and a 2-year warranty.

If you’re not satisfied with the items after trying them on, you can return the unused item(s).


Make sure you include a note with your name, order number, and reason for return. Send us an email with your order number and bank account number.
 

Always keep the track and trace code until we book the amount back on your account.

The costs and responsibility of the return shipment are for the customer’s account.

The return of an article is only possible when the article:

- Is in an undamaged state
- Is not worn and/or used
- Includes the original packaging. Bound Studios reserves the right to refuse returned items.

Lost order can't be refunded. 

Sales or orders placed with coupon codes above 30% can't be refunded. 

The item(s) should be sent back in a good and new condition within 30 days after the arrival of your ordered goods.

All photos and images used by Bound Studios are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property rights. Without written permission from us, it is forbidden to reproduce, copy, use and edit images owned by Bound studios.

It is also strictly forbidden to use and modify any registered or unregistered logos and designs owned by Bound Studios. It is forbidden to do anything which could be considered an infringement of any of the rights in the intellectual property rights owned by Bound Studios.

 

All legal relationships are exclusively governed by Dutch law.

These Terms and Conditions have been last updated by Bound Studios and become effective on 08-08-2023.

What are the shipping costs?

For all orders, regardless of size and quantity of items, shipping costs and times are FREE on orders above €100,-.

Duties & Taxes

Taxes are included. Duty costs aren't. We ship everything from our office in Amsterdam & Los Angeles. Duties that your country applies are not included.

Can I cancel my order?

If we haven't processed your order yet nor started making your solid golden piece, we can cancel refund your order partly or in full.

After we have packed and shipped your order, it won't be possible to cancel nor redirect your order.

After you receive your order, you have 30 days to decide if you'd like to keep or return your jewelry.

How do I return something?

RETOUR & EXCHANGE POLICY

How to return to BOUND STUDIOS:

·       Make sure you always send back items in the original packaging. They may not be worn outside, and must be entirely undamaged. Bound Studios reserves right to refuse returned items that contain traces of usage.


 

·       Send us an email with your order number and bank account number.
 

·       Always keep the track and trace code until we booked the amount back on your account.
 

·       We will refund you as soon as we received the returning item(s). This can take up to 10 business days.

·       Return shipping costs are not covered by Bound Studios.

CONDITIONS

 

· Sales or orders placed with coupon codes with 25% and above can't be refunded. 

 

· Lost order can't be refunded. We will ship the order again or offer store credit.
 

· All items need to be free of traces of usage. As soon as we receive the returning item(s) we will check that they are used or not. We cannot take back any items that are scratched or have traces of usage.
 

· The item(s) should be sent back in a good and new condition within 30 days after arrival of your ordered goods.

Jewelry

What are the materials?

We offer sterling silver jewelry, gold plated jewelry and solid 14k gold jewelry. Our Bound Studios jewelry is made from 100% recycled 925 sterling silver, recycled 18k gold and recycled 14k gold. The silver jewelry are rhodium plated to avoid oxidation and the gold plated items are plated with 18k gold. 

The rings are 3 micron, which is 3/6 times more than most gold plated rings & our other catagories are plated with 1 micron 18k gold.

We chose 3 micron plating is because rings scratch easily. at Bound we want the quality and plating of our designs to lasts. Sustainable jewelry at it's best.

We offer all our designs in sterling silver, 18k gold vermeil and solid 14k gold. All with a 1 year warranty.

What is a high quality gold vermeil jewelry?

Bound Studios believes in the power of gold plated jewelry. It's hard to believe after you've had your bad experience with a gold plated ring that started to fade after a day or two. But not with our rings. We plate our gold plated rings with 3 micron. This is 3-6 times more than most gold plated rings

As long as you're being careful with oils and hard surfaces, you're jewelry will last a lifetime.

How do I take care of my sustainable jewelry?

BOUND STUDIOS JEWELRY CARE

When you receive your order, you'll receive your Bound Studios polishing cloth. We recommend you only clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth and store your jewelry in a dry place. We also give you a pouch with your order that can be used to store your jewelry in.

The jewelry and plating stay best intact when you:

SOLID GOLD:

- You can wear it anywhere, anytime.

- To clean it, you have three options:
1. Use a polishing cloth
2. Mix a few drops of detergent-free soap with warm water. One piece at a time, soak your jewelry and the use a very soft brush to lightly clean each piece. Rinse with care and lightly dry the jewelry with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
3. Go by a jewelry shop to get it polished.

STERLING SILVER:

- You can wear it anywhere, anytime.

- To clean it, you have two options:
1. Use a polishing cloth
2. Go by a jewelry shop to get it polished.

18K GOLD VERMEIL:

- Do not shower with the jewelry

- Do not swim with the jewelry

- Spray any parfume before putting on your jewelry pieces. Perfumes and sprays can react and cause tarnishing

- Avoid contact with soap, oils, moisturizer, skincare, sweat, etc. 

- Avoid hard surfaces. This can scratch of any plating of any sorts.

*Water itself is fine.

Can I shower with my jewelry?

You can shower with your sterling silver and solid 14k jewelry. We do not recommend you showering with your gold plated pieces.

Water is safe with our gold plated jewelry but ingredients in shower products aren't and make the plating fade when you do this often.
